Leininger Park is a community park located in on State Route 58 just south of State Route 162. The park does contain a playground, approximately 1/2 mile walking trail, ball diamonds, T-ball field, barbeque grills and two picnic pavilions. One pavilion was constructed as an Eagle Scout project. Recent additions include a baseball concession stand and small equipment storage shed. During the summer/fall of 2013 two dug out covers were constructed on the two baseball diamonds with donations from AMVETS, HUNTINGTON GRANGE and private contributions. The Community Park is centrally located on the Township campus along with the Historical Society’s recently restored one room school house. Take a stroll in the Park and enjoy the scenery of the country!
Don't miss the Annual Huntington Harvest Fest!
The Park also contains three acres set aside specifically for the use of emergency medical helicopters.
In appreciation for outstanding and dedicated service to our Community Park and Township the playground equipment was dedicated to the late Trustee, Mary Beth Derikito. Mary Beth was a Huntington Township Trustee for over 26 years. Pictured to the right is Mary Beth Derikito and her daughter Laura.
